We felt like very welcome friends
“We spent a thoroughly enjoyable week at Domaine de Perches with our two teenage daughters. Howard and Alain were wonderful and welcoming hosts, with really helpful recommendations for places to visit. We had dinner at the house a few times and each time it was exceptionally good, as was breakfast each day! As Alain explained, the vibe they are aiming for is of house guests rather than hotel, and they succeed in this as we felt like very welcome friends rather than paying guests.
We thoroughly recommend a stay at the beautiful Domaine de Perches and really hope we can return one day!”
It was a pleasure to chat with other guests
“We had a completely enchanting 3 night stay at Le Domaine de Perches. Our room was a two-room comfortable suite with large windows that opened onto a view of vineyards and the hills beyond. We woke to the sound of birds in the morning before heading off to breakfast which included, among many delicious items, freshly, homemade croissants!!! We took dinner at Le Domaine de Perches two nights. It was a pleasure to chat with other guests and the multi-course menu was excellent. The bed was really comfortable and it was really nice to be able to pull up a chair in front of the french doors and read with a view. Le Domaine is out in the vineyard country and in an excellent location for driving around to various historic hilltowns that dot the hills north of Toulouse. We’d highly recommend Le Domaine. But definitely stay for more than one night, take time to slow down a little bit, and be sure to eat at least one dinner there.”
Relaxing stay in a beautiful home with wonderful hosts
Alain & Howard made my new husband & I feel incredibly welcome during our stay. We came here for 3 nights to relax after our wedding. They very kindly put us in their biggest suite. We were intrigued by Alain & Howards tales of their renovation project and how they came to be in this part of the world. Their stunning home is an absolute triumph & incredibly luxurious.
Every morning and evening we ate in different areas of the house which kept us on our toes. Dinners were cooked by our hosts, which is ideal as we didn’t want to drive to local restaurants when we both wanted to sample the local wines over dinner. Plus we couldn’t think of anywhere better than to eat in the beautiful homely surrounds with great company, delightful food and local wines. There is plenty to do, with a tennis court & a pool in the grounds. We hadn’t made any plans for our trip but the boys spent time with us and told us exactly where to visit, which filled our entire 3 days. it was the perfect mini moon. We would love to return and will recommend Domaine de Perches to everyone. Thank you
Luxury
We found Domaine de Perches after a referral from a trusted company who felt they offered my wife and myself the level of accommodation we sought. Without question their recommendation was very well made. On arrival we were met by the owners Alain and Howard who are both the most lovely people you could hope to meet and have renovated and designed the most spectacular property in this area. Our room would put the finest hotels in London to shame with their attention to interior furnishing and design. We requested their dinner on our night of arrival and departure and we were thoroughly spoilt with the high standard of food and the selection of wines they produced to accompany each of the courses. We were even more impressed that both Alain and Howard joined us for dinner explained the food, wines and history of the house and local area. We are both keen tennis players and used the new tennis court at Le Domaine. It was well designed and was very much cared for and maintained to a high standard. This was also our first trip to the area but one that will become an annual event and we will always look to stay at Le Domaine de Perches. If you want high standard of accommodation, excellent food and the best hosting this is a must venue to book. Thanks to our hosts and we will be back within the year. Julian and Gill
Spectacular
Alain and Howard are perfect hosts and this is a wonderful place to stay. The atmosphere is perfect and relaxing. Everything is thought out and is beautifully done. This is a wonderful place to stay while visiting this part of France. You will not be disappointed for one second.
Two nights near Albi and the Bastide towns
Alain and Howard could not be more welcoming and entertaining and regaled us with stories of the ongoing restoration and a tour of this fabulous old stone winemaker’s house and barns. Not far from Albi and the many beautiful hill towns nearby we only touched on the attractions of the area. Not to be missed are delicious dinners prepared by Howard using all locally sourced ingredients, produce and meats. Even better they are served at a table together with other guests and Alain and Howard to translate and engage in lively converstaions and cultural debate. Breakfasts are lovley as well and include homemade yogurt and breads. When warm enough Breakfast is served at the pool overlooking the vineyards. Rooms are large and beautifully appointed and bathrooms are offer all the modern amenities we expect. Two nights was enough to whet our appetite to return to this comfortable and gorgeous place.
